Delete Your YOO Data
You can delete your YOO account and the data linked to it at any time.
Option 1: In the app (fastest)
- Open YOO and go to Me.
- Tap Account & Security.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away. If you own a family, leave it first (the app tells you).
Option 2: By email
If you cannot open the app, email support@yoofficial.com from the email address on your Google or Facebook account, with the subject "Delete my YOO account". Please include your YOO ID if you know it. We will confirm and delete your account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your profile, picture, bio and sign-in link.
- Your messages, photos, voice messages, moments, comments and likes.
- Your friends, follows, family and CP/BFF links, rooms you own, bag items and push tokens.
- Your coin wallet and its history. Coins and virtual items have no cash value and cannot be recovered.
What may remain
Records that no longer identify you (for example gift totals with your name removed), and information we must keep for a limited time for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons, such as a ban record.
Facebook or Google data
Deleting your YOO account removes the information YOO holds. To also remove YOO's access to your Google or Facebook account, remove "YOO" from your connected apps in your Google Account settings (Security, Third-party access) or Facebook settings (Settings, Apps and Websites).
