Privacy Policy
YOO ("we", "us") is a social app where people meet, chat, play games and talk in live voice rooms. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run YOO, and the choices you have. By using YOO you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Sign-in information. When you continue with Google or Facebook we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service. We never see or store your Google or Facebook password.
- Profile information you add. Display name, picture, bio, gender, birthday, region and your YOO ID.
- Things you create. Messages, photos, voice messages, moments (posts), comments, likes, room titles and announcements, reports you file, and messages you send to support.
- Live voice. When you join a voice room, your microphone audio is sent live to the other people in that room through our voice provider. We do not record voice rooms.
- Activity in the app. Gifts sent and received, coin balance and history, rankings, daily tasks, friends, follows, blocks, family and CP/BFF memberships, and which room you are in.
- Presence. Whether you are online and when you were last seen, according to your Privacy settings.
- Device information. A device identifier, device model and platform (used for security and to enforce bans), and a push-notification token so we can notify you.
2. Why we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep it secure (including limiting an account to one device at a time).
- To run the features you use: chat, rooms, voice, gifts, rankings, games and notifications.
- To keep YOO safe: handling reports, blocking, banning rule-breakers and preventing fraud and abuse.
- To fix problems and improve YOO.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party advertising based on your personal data.
3. Who can see your information
- Other players can see your public profile (name, picture, bio, level, gifts shown on your wall, rooms you own) and anything you post in rooms or moments, according to the privacy options you choose. Messages are visible to the people in that chat.
- Our service providers process data for us only to provide YOO: Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in), Agora (real-time voice), Google and Facebook/Meta (the sign-in you choose), and push-notification services from Google and Expo.
- The law. We may share information when required by law or to protect people's safety.
4. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and privacy settings (online status, who can add you) in the app at any time.
- Block or report other players.
- Delete your account in the app: Me → Account & Security → Delete account. See our Data Deletion page. You can also email us.
- Ask us for a copy of, or a correction to, your information by emailing support@yoofficial.com.
5. Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, messages you sent, posts, files, friends and wallet are removed. A few records may be kept in anonymous form (for example gift history with your identity removed) or for a limited time where the law, security or fraud prevention requires it.
6. Children
YOO is for people aged 13 and over (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). We do not knowingly collect information from younger children. If you believe a child has joined, email support@yoofficial.com and we will remove the account.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, access rules on our database, private storage for chat photos and voice messages, and ban and abuse controls. No service is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in account protected.
8. International use
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. We take steps so that your information stays protected wherever it is handled.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date on this page and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
